Happy Sunday all!!! Sorry it has been a while....I went to the Stampin'Up! regional in Vancouver yesterday so was very busy getting myself geared up to pop off the island for a quick visit. I wanted to take over lots of swaps but reality set in and I went with only 40 in hand. Here is what my studio looked like!!!

What a whirlwind day....up at 3:45, on a ferry for 6:30 with my good friend Glenda (and my first downline!!!). Then hop on a city bus to the convention center in Vancouver....running down the street!!!!! to arrive about 5 minutes late! Yuck!!!! but in the door to see and hear Shelli Gardner on the stage. I think there were about 300 ladies in the room and how exciting!!! Just a small taste of what convention could be like!!! I will share some pictures with you in the next few posts of the fabulous cards and creations I saw...so check in. Here is one of my swap cards I took......I used the embossing technique that Sandi taught me in Portland....so please check out her blog sandimaciver.com for the step by step on this fabulous technique.
So the next fews posts will contain more of this amazing day...thanks Glenda for sharing it with me. It was really cool to be in the same room with so many!!! creative minds. Not just the ones on stage but all the fabulous ladies everywhere!!! Lots of great ideas...WOW presentations and and goodies, free stuff and more. Stay tuned...more to come.
Cheers from Shelagh in Shawnigan.
So, when the government of France awarded him the Volta Prize for inventing the telephone, he combined this monetary award with the money hye made from selling the patent on another invention to establish the Volta Bureau in Washington, D. C. . Its purpose was to fund research on deafness. Today, it is called the Alexander Graham Bell Association. Its role has been changed to providing the latest information to the deaf of the world on how best to cope with their disability.
