Breast Cancer Event Update

Hi folks....just wanted to check in with everyone about the upcoming event on May 14th. If you have been following Sandi's blog you will have seen the clarification about how the day will work. I will be having a "Stampin' Party" in my studio that day for those of you that are in the area. If you want to reserve a spot here please sign in by April 29th and you will be part of this fabulous day. Once you enter your info , you will also be given a list of supplies and as always you can contact me with any questions. Just email me or leave a comment. 

There will be a website that goes live for all of you that are not able to attend here and that way we will still be together. Just think how many people we could have...all stamping and creating at the same time and of course all that positive energy flowing toward the same goal!!!!

 

 As I am able to order only as of May 1st.... the sooner I receive your information the better I can do my part.Once the orders are made the kits will be in the mail to you when I receive the stamp sets from Stampin' Up! If you have one already it can still be used....door prize , special gift or donated to any number of functions that go on through out the year. Just remember the cause!!

This will be a great day for friends to get together to show their support for all the people affected by this disease and create some great cards. I plan on donating my cards to the Cancer Clinic in Victoria and would be happy to take along any that others make as well. There is always people to thank during the course of treatment and support and if there were some beautiful cards for people to use I think it would make it a little easier for them.

  

 Don't forget, the proceeds for this day are going directly to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation  and I believe every!!! bit helps. Hope to hear from you soon. Till then have a wonderful day and hug someone you love!!!

Color Inspiration

Hello folks. Well what do you think about the upcoming event! I am really excited and want you to know I have room in my studio and house.....yes the rest of the house !!!! to accommodate about 20 people.Click on the link on the right that is "flashing" or travel down my blog to enter your information.

 In the meantime I wanted to share some pictures from my recent trip to visit my sister Peggy. She just happens to live in Honolulu so I am very lucky!! The orchids were just starting to really pop and I love them.

 The colors are so vibrant and it can really inspire. There are so many creative people on the islands and it always helps to jump start my creativity as well. More pictures to follow and some new card ideas as well.

Remember to smell the flowers wherever you are and you will find beauty all around.

Stamp Out Breast Cancer! Join us for this special event!

Join us in STAMPING OUT BREAST CANCER

We have all been touched by this disease in some way, have fought it ourselves, have a loved one or friend who has fought it; some have won the fight, some have not.

Let’s celebrate them all and help to find a cure.

So don your favorite pink t-shirt, make a date with your stamping friends and join us on May 14th, for a 4 Nation Event!

On May 14th at 1, p.m.
(Pacific Daylight time) we will all get together to
STAMP OUT BREAST CANCER!

How are we going to accomplish this?

We have set up a website which will go live at that time.  It contains the pictures and videos on completing each of the projects – and we want to invite you to stamp with us!

TO PARTICIPATE

 You need to register with one of the Demonstrators in your country to order your kit – by May 1st, 2011.
(there is a registration form on each site listed below and at the bottom of this page)

Our kit includes:

• Stampin Up – Strength and Hope Stamp set (Stampin Up! is donating $2.00 from the sale of each set).
• Precut kits for each of the 6 projects – 4 cards and two 3D items.  Designed by Sandi MacIver and Lee Conrey.
• One package of Basic Pearls.

This will be mailed to you the first week of May – in plenty of time to participate - and is the reason we ask for your phone number and mailing address in order for us to place our orders with Stampin' Up!

We will be sending email newsletters as reminders and to share additional event information with you, such as letting you know when the Stamp Out Breast Cancer site is live for us to stamp together and watch all the wonderful videos!  Additionally, the newsletters will include PayPal links so you may pay for the kits quickly and easily.

Nature Walk

Good day to everyone!! As I mentioned a little while ago I finally finished the make & takes from the Vancouver Regional. Obviously as a newcomer to the event I wanted to soak in all the tips and ideas I could so......the make & takes did not get done there! I really enjoyed doing them at home and can hardly wait to have my club ladies discover how much you can do with the Nature Walk Stamp Set.

 
 First thing I did was to put together the banner!!! This picture does not do it justice.....I took some close ups of some of the letters for you.

This let's the creativity of whoever is making it come right through!!!! And now to the other cards....Stampin' Up! goes to alot of work to put all this together for you and the directions are amazing!!! I really appreciate it.

More Happy I Do Day!!

I told you I was back....hopefully I can post frequently and keep you coming back to visit!! It is all up to the creative flow that ebbs and "flows".

As promised here are more ideas that I played with while designing the wedding invitations for friends. Thanks Kristina and Darryl for trusting me with this...stay tuned for the "real" invitation but for now more cards.

 Stampin' Up! has such beautiful paper and embellishments!!! They make it so easy to create something you can be proud to share!!! Comments anyone!?

Don't forget you could attend a workshop or plan a "party" in my studio. A get together with girlfriends is a great time to create a few things to start your creativity flowing!!! I can take the stress out of planning and you can come and have fun!!! Let me know what you would like to create and we can do it together.

Happy I Do Day!!!!!!

 
Greetings all you bloggers!!!!

 My share today is a couple of ideas I got when I was creating wedding invitations for a friend's son and soon to be daughter in law.  I will show the invite once I have the bride's permission but in the meantime here are a few things that "arrived" in my mind. They loved the sentiment from the Word Play stamp set..page 147 of the catalogue. First is a card you could use if you are giving a monetary gift. I know everyone loves $$$ so here goes...

 Then I made a card using the same basic colors but including a different sentiment...Celebrate from Match Box Messages on page 131. I love the colors....

Happy Spring!!

Hello everyone...I bet you thought I had left the planet!! Not so...but I did take a trip to see my sister and brother in law . They live in Honolulu and I had a fabulous time. While I was there we had a tsunami scare and witnessed the devastation in Japan. My heart goes out to all those effected and makes me feel very fortunate that here on my island and there in Oahu we were very lucky!!! Take a moment to send good thoughts out to them.

Now onto other things......spring is trying very hard to "POP!!!" in Shawnigan Lake. When I arrived home I walked around the yard and enjoyed the signs of renewal......

 This is a very cool shrub my good friends Maria & Al gave me years ago...and it has two different types interwoven....see the two colors!! I feel very special as they don't even have one!!! It always assures me spring is on it's way. And the helebores are in full regalia......

These are minis and they are so!!!cute.

Now folks I would love to know how the season is showing itself in your neck of the woods. I am always energized to create at this time of year so onto new cards and bright colors!!!!
