Snow Much Fun!!!

Happy Saturday to all !!!

It has been a beautiful few days so the idea of Christmas!!! is a little out there. BUTwe stampers are nothing if not living on the edge alot of the times...so here goes.

I love the stamp set "Snow Much Fun" on page 35 of the big book!!! So I thought I would share my coloring art project with you. I used my marvelous markers, blender pens and ink from the stamp pads. Lots of different techniques to accomplish this.....and then smooch spritz all over!!!!

 
 Now..isn't he just the cutest!!! Sorry about the focus....but I love the way he turned out. I call him "Mr. Lean!!"

Then we have "Mr. Portley"....so jolly looking....

 
 And I made a tag using the Christmas tree ...mine is a "Blue Spruce". I know...trimming!!??? Oh well I have tiny sissors. 
..... and the whole gang.

 
 So there you go....welcome to the Christmas Rush. I will try a few new ideas in the next few weeks, so check in . You just never know what you might find.

Cluxewe Visit

Good day to all !!!

My vacation is drawing to an end and I have had a wonderful time with all my mini trips here and there. The northern part of Vancouver Island is very lush and the weather can change at a moments notice. The Cluxewe RV Resort is 11 km north of Port MacNeil and took me about 5 & 1/2 hours to drive there. Good times and great food with Maria & Al...friends I have had for many, many years. Here are some pictures I took while enjoying the setting.

 Just steps away from the ocean and the dogs loved it!!! 
This is Shilo.....he is getting on but put up with my crazy youngster Shadow.

 

Al is a Fly Fisherman aficionado and on the day I was leaving, brought me a little something to take home. I swear ...he wasn't even gone from the campsite for 20 minutes!!!!

 
 A nice pink .......on a fly!!!!! And I call this next picture "Cluxewe River Runs Through It!!!!" Al and as couple of his Fly Fishing buddies. Not the river actually...but the ocean. But artistic license.

 
 And my good friend Maria with Shilo and Shadow......we did lots of beachcombing....so relaxing!!!!

 
 Well that's it for now....don't want to bore you with all my amateur shots. Lots of good memories and batterys recharged. Back to work and looking forward to seeing the ladies for my Stamp Clubs. Lots of new things to share and a new mini to peruse for all.

More Christmas in August!

 
I hope all of you are enjoying the beautiful weather!!! 

 I just returned from a trip to the northern part of my amazing island. I spent a few days with great friends in an area called Cluxewe.  Try to put your tongue around that one. I will share some pics from there but for now.....more of the cards I took to Arizona.

 

 Remember, these are using the retired DSP from a very old catty (can you guess which one? )....but I used the new DSP "Letters to Santa" from the current catalogue to place in the background. Remember the promotion...buy 3 papers get one free!!! I can hardly wait for you all to see the new mini.....if you don't have a demonstrator in your area, please contact me & I will be sure to get one sent to you....you can start to order September1st!!!!

Christmas in August !!??

 I just returned from a visit with my brother and sister in law and their family in Fountain Hills Arizona. As you can imagine it was VERY!!!!HOT!!!!!

... So.... Suzanne decided what a wonderful time to cool things down and have a Christmas celebration. Some of her family from Quebec were there as well as friends from California and the house was decked out in keeping with the holiday.....tree and all!!! I will share some pictures soon but for now I wanted to show you the cards I created for everyone.

 I made more with retired designer series paper and can share those at a later date.

We had so much fun and I tried hard to use what limited french I have...Suzanne's Mom,Julienne, is a very beautiful lady and to listen to her speak is like music. Lots of time in the pool...then the house....then the pool....then the house. I bet you can understand why! Food galore, present exchange and so much laughter.Thanks to all for a Christmas to remember.

Swirls & Curls

 

One of the prettiest sentiment stamp sets is in the Summer Mini that is going to disappear the end of August.  I love the Swirls & Curls Verses ...a level 1 hostess set. I have used it many times for different occasion cards and would love to help you earn this set ... you will put to good use for a long time.

 I made this card for my very special girlfirend, Sandi. sandimaciver.com. She has shown what lots of hard work and artistic creativity can accomplish. At convention this year in Salt Lake she was acknowledged for her dedication to building a business she can be proud of.... with membership in the Founder's Circle 2011 &  # 37 Demonstrator in the huge Stampin' Up! family.

I am very proud of you Sandi and thanks for all your help with my Stampin' Up! endeavor.

 

 Now, I hope your card gets to you before this post.....you never know with snail mail these days. Here is a close up...I put the Designer Series Paper Paisley Petals ( so pretty!!!) thru the embossing folder Finial Press for some added dimension...see it on page 219 of the catalogue. And of course the use of the Basic Pearls make it that extra special.

 

Can you remember the Stamp Set I used for the flouris on the side???? Vintage Vogue of course....so much to use in that set, a must have.

This time of year is very busy with birthdays and lots of other celebrations!!! So this card is for my oldest Granddaughter Madison. She turned 19!!! and is a beautiful young lady. I hope she comes to visit this summer, we always have such fun. I sent it in the mail...( I'm late...bad Grandma!!!!! ) but I was definately thinking of her all the time I was creating this card.

 
 

The new designer paper, Flirtations Specialties, makes for a beautiful and quick background for this picture I think. I know there has been a major back order on this paper but I know Stampin' Up! will resolve it shortly. Don't forget to check out the special this month....buy three papers get one free. Missed Mojo

 Good Day to all!!!

My share today is a card I was making from the MOJO mojomonday.blogspot.com sketch. It became the birthday card for my daughter Deb....but I did not get it entered in the MOJO Monday #201.... oh well, I love the way it turned out.  Deb loves pink and is the bling queen of the world so I tried to add some shine for her. What do you think??

 
 I took another picture with a different color background so you could see the Blushing Bride pink and shows the way it opens.

 
 

It is fun to play out of the "box" sometimes......when you have great dies from Stampin' Up! to help you create!!! I used the Scallop Circle Bigz Die from page 222 of the catalogue, then the Bigz Clear Circle Die from page 223.
