Countdown to Christmas #4

Hello to all my friends and colleagues. I can't believe how fast the days are going and how fast the leaves in my yard are falling!!!

We have more fun projects coming up in the next 9...yes 9!!! weeks. But today let's see what is happening.

 Sandi, our very own "Yoda", designed a bag topper for goodies to put under the tree or take along to one of those fabulous holiday parties we all attend this season.

I know we are all trying to be "earth friendly" and this helps us share those ideas with others. No more going to the store to pick up that glossy and non compostible packaging, we can make our own!!!! This bag is so pretty I think it may get recycled with another goodie for someone else! I know I would be happy to receive a "pressie" in this...it is a present in itself.

Now to receive a tutorial with step by step instructions please subscribe to my Countdown to Christmas Newsletter located and "flashing" the top right of my blog. As this is the first newsletter for me I would be happy to also send the last three projects to you as well.

Countdown to Christmas #3

Happy Friday everyone!!!

We have our next project for your viewing pleasure. It is a gift card holder and I know having teenage grandchildren, gift cards are very well received at any time of year.

As always don't forget to check out all the fabulous ideas from my "CTC" friends at the end of this post. I also want to express my thanks for all the great comments so far...keep them coming.

Now what do you think??? My take on Sandi's design......

Don't you just love the little faces...so jolly looking and makes you want to see what they have been up too. Easy design on this holder, even you, yes I mean you!!! can do this one. Put your own creative edge on it.

Gently Falling & Buttons

Hello to my friends....fall is here!!!!

I spent the day in the yard cleaning up the dahlias and hostas as they have had their run for the year. Autumn is a little bittersweet for me, the colors are amazing but I miss the warmth of the sun. I feel blessed to live in a part of the country that has definate seasons but not too extreme.

I have a maple in my yard so the leaves are abundant!!! Can't you just feel the sweater around you right now. These colors are so rich looking and the Gently Falling stamp set has lots to work with. The two step stamping technique opens up lots possibilties.

This design is from the last mojomonday sketch. I was too late to enter my card but want to give them their due. Maybe this week I can play along. Always a good way to try some set ups we may not have done.

 It is hard to see the sentiment on this card but it is from the "Petite Pairs" and I used it the opposite way. The front is..."to someone who make others so happy"...and inside the "happy Birthday wishes." This set is fabulous...I think I have used every stamp at least once ...love it.

Here is my "ode" to Autumn..... love all the buttons...easy embellishments.

Hello to all!!

I hope you having a good time checking out all the fabulous creations on our mini blog hop. This week I have had an interesting time with my computer...so no newsletter as yet but it is on the way.

This weeks project is a Gift Box created by Sandi... and was alot of fun to make. I used the Tags til Christmas stamp set and some wonderful Designer Series Paper..."Letters to Santa".

 Just think what special goodies could go into this box....or make one for your "significant other" and have them fill it up just for you!!!

Countdown to Christmas #1

Hello folks, I hope you are having a great week and are starting to think about those beautiful cards you are going to share!!!!

I and a few friends, are going to showcase some ideas that I hope will help you along the journey of creating fabulous cards that all your friends will love to receive.

Letters to Santa

Happy weekend to all!!

As promised the Christmas ideas are on the go. I know we are all gearing up to create new cards to send to friends and family. If you are anything like me, I always try to "outdo!!??" myself each year and that in itself can be very stressful. So I have tried to use the "KISS" technique for these next ones.

 

 The DSP "Letters to Santa" ...page 186...is fabulous as you can use it to add so much interest to your cards. A few of the pages would be perfect for those scrapbook pages of the season. These are in keeping with the NAPR program most of us are on...No Additional Posatge Required.....Thanks again Sandi for this great idea.  And what would Christmas be without tags to add that special touch to our gift giving!!!

 

So I put these together quite quickly......and had to stop myself from going overboard. Sometimes simple is best...especially when you have some beautiful paper to showcase.

 

Now if you are planning to create your cards this year but haven't started yet, I would love to get together with you and a few friends. We could have a wonderful time putting some ink on paper and you could go away with a new hobby to create cards that are a gift in themselves.

 Just contact me and we can set up a workshop here in my studio. I would love to share my obsession with you!!!
