Easy Peasy

Good day all!!!

Today I have a couple of cards that were so fast and easy I just had to share. Both my brother and brother-in-law have birthdays this month and I wanted to send them something special. Imai lives in Hawaii and my brother Norm lives outside of Phoenix so warmth is the feeling I get when I think of them both. So here you go.....

  By the Seashore stamp set is so beautiful, it almost came together without alot of thought. But of course we know that never happens. Island Indigo and Smoky Slate went well together and then just a little DSP for dimension. 

Now just switch up the Whisper White for Very Vanilla and turn it on end....use Coastal Cabana and Crumb Cake , DSP again and Yah!!! two cards in less than 10 minutes!!!!! The greeting I used of course is from Sassy Salutations. Just love this set. The font is so much fun don't you think?

 

Hope you like the result and know that you too can create something fun and special without spending days stressing over it. We all love to put that extra touch and there is nothing wrong with that but in a time crunch.....fast and easy is just as rewarding. Enoy creating and see you back here soon.

Inspiration!!

Hello my friends...hope this post finds you all enjoying some time creating.

I was looking through some pictures I saw from Leadership in Houston and saw a card that caught my attention. So that was the inpiration for the share today. 

Here is a closer shot..... I used the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp set to make my own grid with Stazon Black.

 

 

As we were putting it all together at Stamp Club, the ideas were flowing..."Hey, what about using the red glitter paper", "This would make a great wedding card", I think I am going to try red and black!"

This is what inspiration is all about. It is amazing where is can be found....not just online but even when you are out shopping or walking the dog. So keep your eyes open and your camera phone charged.

More Washi!!!

Howdy all!! 

As I said we have had alot of fun with the Washi Tape. This time we used the Retro Fresh This and That tape from the Spring Occasions Catalogue. It's on page 19 and I love it. So easy to use. Here you go....

   

 

I used the smaller tag from the Chalk Talk framelits and the sentiment is from , Yes you guessed it...."Yippee Skippee" from page 37 of the big catalogue. I just love all these sentiments.....so current and fun. You can see much better on these cards the Gorgeous Grunge stamps I used all over. This set is so versatile as you can achieve whatever effect you want from way out there to subtle.

Now you go on and see how far out of your comfort zone you can get and have fun. That's what life is all about after all!!! Enjoy...

Sketch Challenge

Good day to all!! Hope your weekend is turning out to be a good one . The weather is fabulous here....hard to believe it is January.

I have a card today that we did at StampClub here on Thursday night. The ladies loved the new DSP Sweet Sorbet I used from the Spring Occasions catalogue. I also used for my inpiration the Sketch Challenge #38  from my gal friend Sandi Stamping with Sandi She is amazing and I wish she lived closer. What fun we could have. So here it is....get out your sunglasses as definately not for the faint of heart!!!! 

 

As I did not have the Tag Topper Punch I used the Chalk Talk Framelits. We played alot with the new Washi Tape and what an easy way to add some pop to your projects. Thursday was "Washi " night so I have a few more to share with you in the next few posts. The next one I turned the card and added a few embellishments. Washi Tape again and tiny flowers from the Boho Blossoms Punch. This paper just screams!!!! punch me!!!

New Year and New "Operating System??!"

Hello my friends and Happy New Year!! 

I cannot believe it is 2014 but am sooooo looking forward to an exciting year loaded with new adventures and great ideas to share with all of you!! Once I become proficient with my new Mac ...look out!

In keeping with the fabulous masking tape technique I made a few Thank You cards for friends.This easy to do technique is so much fun and you can go any way you want with it. The photo isn't the best but I am working on that as well. New computer this year and I know some of you understand the challenges with that.

Remember folks the new Spring Catalogue is live starting January 3rd and I just love all the fabulous ideas through out and the Watercolor Wonder DSP is so pretty!!  I will be sharing some new cards using products from the new "mini" in the next few posts so check in.
