Blended Bloom for Stamping and Blogging Sketch # 96

 Hello my friends and welcome to Wednesday!

Today I have a card that I did for a very good friend's birthday. We all know and love her....Sandi! Her big day was the 2nd of March and I wanted to send something special. Way outside the box of "normal" colours but I like how this came together . Let me know what you think. 

 I had great fun with the flower...I think this colour really shows up well. And a little pop of Real Red and Bermuda Bay to go with the Black and the DSP.

 I used the dots from The Gorgeous Grunge stamp set for some relief on the Black Card stock. And I love the Designer Vintage Faceted Buttons. And a simple greeting to complete the card.

Big on You Stamp Set for Sketch # 95

Hello to my friends and loyal followers...

I have had some fun playing with the ChalkBoard Paper you will find in the Occasions Catalogue. At Stamp Club last month we did a couple of things, a card and a fridge magnet, using this fun paper. I hadn't pulled out the Top Note Die for awhile and the size of the wonderful stamps from "Big on You" fit great .

 The Blackberry Bliss DSP went well with the top note and the Basic Grey card lends to a masculine theme. I used the White Craft Ink and heat set it before "rubbing" across the note to give that blackboard "messy" look.

 And just for fun we made a little fridge magnet.....used some Tombow on a small magnet to attach to the close pin. 

  This picture is actually taken from my fridge!!! Isn't it cute!!! A good reminder for me each day!!!

Really Good Greetings for S&B Sketch #94

 Happy March!!!!! 

How the time is flying by...I have a trip to visit my sister right around the corner so am happy the time is "marching" along.

But today I have a card that sure is outside the realm of colours I usually choose. I kinda like how it turned out and would be great for any guy in your life. Here we go...

 

The card base is Smoky Slate and then the next mat is Crushed Curry. Holy moly.... then a pop of Elegant Eggplant and we have lift off. Throw in a little Basic Black to put the sentiment on . Here's  a closer shot to showcase the wonderful greeting. 

  The Yellow Citrus Chalk ink allows that subtle tone on the greeting and then I stamped cut out another LIVE and dimensioned it over the original. A few gold buttons , linen thread and bakers twine for embellishments .....I also ran the Crushed Curry through Mr Big using the Chevron Embossing Folder. 

 And the sketch for our muse....
