Happy Thursday everyone! We have been having a very foggy time here in the Cowichan Valley. So I have been busy inside with some fabulous new products from the new Occasions Catalogue.
Today I used more of the beautiful Rose Garden Thinlits Die from the Bundle on page 18. Here is the colours we had to play with.
I took the Rose Red for the card base and a mat of Whisper White. But the most fun was the Gold Foil that I ran through the Big Shot with the gorgeous rose.
I adhered the die onto the Whisper White, that I ran through the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. The new Fine Tip Glue Pen is just the thing for this technique. Just remember not to squeeze to hard. A little goes along way and though it dries clear you don't want any shadowing. I then used some gold embossing powder to pop the sentiment and a tiny oval behind to add contrast.
Now a peek inside......can you say Wink of Stella !!! This new product that we now have is so much fun. Once the glue dried, I painted the glitter in the cut out. Then a small gold leaf tucked under and all done.
I cut the small rose out from the white layer inside , then cut out another rose in the Rose Red. This gave me the cut out to layer onto the card itself and then two Dies of the flower that I attached together and placed over the opening. Are you confused ..dont' worry I have a couple of pictures that show what I did.
Shows the cut out.....
.... and the white flower for over the top, followed by a rose red one.
It gives a little dimension inside as I didn't glue it totally down.
Now off to the rest of the Hop for you. Have fun and I will post the products at the end for your shopping ease.
Here are the links.....
Cheers from....

Love it, Shelagh! Fun how you turned the Softly Falling TIEF on its side for your card front. And the inside just completes the whole thing! :)

THANK YOU!!!! At last, a card showing how the dies and stamps can be used together. I was beginning to think that they would only work as separate items.
Lovely card. TFS

Oh so pretty Shelagh! Love the embossing on the front and your rose on the inside is just as pretty as the one on the outside. Yep, great minds think alike...Rose Wonder must be the stamp set of the week! ;)
