Happy Thursday everyone!!
Today we have a color challenge......and what gorgeous ones. All these colors are very rich in look and I did a little something something on the Old Olive to make it stand out even more.
Here is the templet......
Hello Honey is one of my favs and it goes so beautifully with the other two. So here we are, it's really a fun technique.
Now can you see what I played with?
I put the clear embossing powder to work and gave the Old Olive a fun glossy finish. I stamped two flourishes on the art piece in Hello Honey and then went to work with the VersaMark. It is on page 162 #109130 and the VersaMark is on page 163 # 102283.
When you do this technique please be careful as the embossing gets very hot and I don't want any burnt fingers. Tap the VersaMark all over the Old Olive and then sprinkle the embossing powder. Using a clip board to hold the piece really helps.
I did this in stages until I achieved the look I was looking for....I love the mottled effect.
I put some of the Washi tape on each corner and adhered that to the Blackberry Bliss mat. Tip for you....use fast fuse, I love this adhesive. The Old Olive is quite thick now with all the wonderful clear embossing. If you like you can bend the piece back and forth gently and you will get some "cracks" in the finish. That gives a real vintage look. I left it alone and pulled in some more of the Hello Honey with the ribbon next to the Washi Tape.
The "Celebrate" is from the fun Expressions Natural Elements and I used the fine tip glue pen to attach. Hold it on for a bit as takes a little time to stick on the art piece.
Now inside for another sentiment and we have a card meant for any happy occasion.
Now off you go....click on the button below and travel off to Mary's blog. If you get lost I have all the links right underneath for you as well. Have fun and hope you try out some clear embossing.
Here are the products I used today but should you need help with any ordering just let me know.
Cheers from....
