Good Morning to all and we have a special blog hop today.
Our mentor and very very good friend Sandi is undergoing some surgery today and we want to send her all the positive messages and love we can find.
So this day is just for you girlfriend!!! ( she is going to hate that!!! ) Always thinks of others before herself!!
We had some fabulous colours to play with and here they are....
My card started with the Basic Black and then layered with the Old Olive. I really wanted to do something special , so I pulled out the Rose Garden Thinlits Dies . Just wait til you see what parts I used.
I stamped the whole rose and leaf image on Hello Honey with VersaMark and then embossed it in black. Into the Big Shot it went and by then the decision was made. Collage, bling and a few art pieces......
I was happy with the result the embossing and die cutting created. But the flower was too much so the squares with the collage images just came together. The Hello Honey made an impact once matted with the black.
And here is a close up of the leaf....I love the randomness of the black, kind of like veins we see on leaves. I put a little something inside just because.....lots of rooms for good wishes as well.
Ok...away you go.....check out the rest of the ladies. I know they are sending loads of good wishes to Sandi today and they will have pulled out all the stops to create something special just for her. Have fun and if you can , send Sandi your positive energy as well.
Cheers and lots of love going to you Sandi!!!
beautiful card Shelagh, I love how you tucked the leaves in, very cool, and thank you for the shout out, I have been feeling all your thoughts and prayers and I'm happy to say I am home and hopefully on the mend.

This is so pretty Shelagh! Your die cut leaves add the perfect touch under your stamped images. Perfect design for the color challenge! :)

You really created a show-stopper with this card, Shelagh. That embossing on the leaf really sets the tone and the bling just finishes it off. Super card!
