Happy Thursday everyone!!! I hope you are having a great week and for those of you off for Spring Break ....enjoy.
Today we have a sketch challenge and I am sharing a fun technique as well. It is called the "Stained Glass " technique and is so easy. I think the result is quite pretty, let me know what you think.
So here is the sketch.....
My first picture for you.....
I have used this beautiful stamp set Blended Blooms before. It was a coloring challenge using ink pads and the alcohol ink markers. ( Sad to say we don't have something to replace them as yet!) But this technique is done on the back side of an image that has been embossed on vellum.
Spoiler alert to my Stamp Club ladies...guess what we are doing this month !!!!
The border down the one side is one of the pretty stamps from the Bordering Blooms Stamp Set. A soft bit of Wisteria Wonder and then a strip of Blackberry Bliss and Always Artichoke.
The leaves were cut from the Rose Gardens Thinlits Dies. These were placed under the bloom, I did cut one to spread it out a bit.
This close up really shows the colours of the petals. Blackberry Bliss, Perfect Plum and Wisteria Wonder markers coloured the back of the image. I turned the embossed piece over onto a coloured piece of scrap allowing me to see how the shading was coming along.
I used a couple of dimensionals to pop up the blossom, and then a cute little sentiment in Blackberry Bliss from the Greetings Thinlits Dies .
Voila.... the card was finished.
Now off you go to check out the talent. I sure hope you are having fun with this hop....we love to share ideas with all of you and love to hear how we are doing.
And if you want to check out anyone again...easy to click on their names.
Shelagh Freemantle ....this is me!!!
I will leave the links for you to hop onto the online store should you "need " to have that special something. Have fun.
Cheers from....
Thanks to all for the kind words...you all rock.!!!

Looks like you used a old favorite too. Nice to get out the stamps that have not been used as much. Reminds us to use all of our sets, not just the new ones. Beautiful card Shelegh. Love the colors too, great coloring.
