Happy Thursday to all..... we have a colour Challenge for you today. Here they are....great set up ladies.
A lot of thought went into today's card.
As I pulled out the cardstock to see how to put things together I wasn't sure what to do. The two darker colours on their own would be quite overwhelming so the decision was to use the Pool Party as the base then add accents . I then took out some DSP and started to place it over the base.
From this point I thought that Soft Suede does a fabulous job as a vintage ink soooo..... here it is.
I coloured the flowers with a dauber and sponge using Pool Party ink , then the leaves very gently with the Mossy Meadow. Once done, I took another sponge and went over the whole DSP with Soft Suede. Then I placed a piece of 3/8" Mossy Meadow ribbon on the bottom of the art piece and then attached it to a mat of Soft Suede.
Here is a close up of the sponging.
I went darker in the middle of the flowers, and the DSP was so perfect as it is quite subdued. A sentiment on a scrap of Pool Party with a touch of Mossy Meadow , a few pearls and a couple of ferns, and it was done. But of course I did a little bit inside.
I cut out a flower and sponged it as well, then added a fern behind. You can see a bit of it in the picture above.
Now off to the rest of the hop...have fun and I will leave the links for you at the end of the post. Thanks for your support and comments!

I am loving your card....I agree that you needed a pretty and bright color to offset the darker colors.....you did a great job adding the extra flowers. And fern fronds!m. Also loving the DSP....adds such wonderful texture to the rest of your design!
