It's the end of April!!! I am always amazed at how fast the time goes. I know that is a sure sign of age but I truly believe that time these day is really on fast forward!!
So for a few minutes folks let's sit and drink a tea or coffee and enjoy the creations that these talented ladies have for us today.
Our technique for April is the Floating Re-Inker technique. This can make an artist out of the most challenge of colorers....is that a word!!??? I can hardly wait to see what we have for you....here is my little pretty.
I stamped the beautiful Corner Garden stamp onto a piece of watercolour paper with VersaMark and then embossed it with black. Then I spritzed it with water and began the process of adding the colours. I had added a few drops of the re-inkers in Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride, So Saffron and Old Olive into a painting vessel. Then I used paint brushes to place the colours on the image. As the colour blended into the image, a bit went over the embossing so I went with it. I added a little bit here and there and then spritzed some more so the background became slightly blended as well.
Once dry, the watercolour paper gets quite "curly" so I used the Fast Fuse adhesive to adhere to the Basic Black mat then adhered that onto the card base.
The sentiment was stamped with VersMark then embossed in black. I then sponged some of the colours onto it and layered onto a black piece and that onto a white piece of scrap.
As I dry fit this onto the card I thought of using the corner on the top of the card instead of the side. I hope you like my share today now off to the rest of the creations. Have fun and remember, we love to hear from you.
