Hello to all.
The end of May is upon us and I know that lots of families are busy with grads and making summer plans already! I can't believe it is that time again but I had fun creating this card for you.
The technique for this month was "Stencilling" An open canvas as long as there was a stencil used . Some thought went into this card, I tried a couple of different things but finally went with the wonderful Stars Decorative Mask that Stampin' Up! has. But I added some of my own to this as well, as you will see.
Here we go. I used the "mask" stencil with a sponge dauber to place some stars in Smoky Slate. Then I wondered how to add some larger ones in the Marina Mist. Out came the Stars Framelits Dies and I put some Vellum through mister big. You will see what I did when I show the inside of my card.
I am soooo in love with the new Swirly Scribbles Thinlits. Thanks to Stampin' Up! for this new addition. I used three of the Swirls to add to the Soft Sky mat. These are so much fun.
I know, I used this set of thinlits also on the card I did on Thursday. Just shows how versatile it is.
The sentiment came from the "Crazy About You" stamp set. Loads of ideas there.
Now you can see the inside. I used the Vellum star as a stencil to achieve the ones on the card front. I liked the way it looked after I was done so into the inside it went.
Then I added a few more small stars and I was happy. I think this would make a great grad card , just put the reasons you are "Crazy About" your special graduate, inside the card.
