Happy Stampers Copper????

 Ok folks.....I know there is copper in the colour challenge this week but I do not have any of the new  embossing powder or DSP that has that wonderful hue. So I pulled out a few Glimmer Brads from awhile ago...sorry . I will tell you where you can find those fabulous colours, but for now away we go.

 I so love the Detailed Floral Thinlits.....you can achieve stardom with just that a Big Shot. See those copper brads. I know, but we all have something hiding in the cupboard.

  Now isn't this pretty. The Whisper White and the Night of Navy really show off together. Simple card with dramatic punch.

 and there they are......I really tried to make this colour with a few embossing powders but all I got was a yukky muddy colour. Now off to the rest of the hop. I just know we are going to see some beautiful creations. I will post some links to the wonderful products that have the copper in them or allow you to create it.

Spotlight for Totally Techniques Blog Hop

Here we go folks. It is almost the end of June. Wow...six months today is Christmas Eve. I know...bad Shelagh but that just means we can get a jump start on the season wth all these fabulous ideas. 

 

Today we are playing with the Spotlight Technique. This can be so much fun and you can stay simple for major impact or go fussy and achieve stardom!!  I opted for the simple touch, but I think I am going to attempt the "Stardom" card at a later date. 

So here it is .....

 This really shows the areas that I "Spotlighted" . I used the new stamp set In This World......love it.

Collage the background and add a few Grunge spots. The minute I saw the butterfly I knew that it would be the focal of the card.

Once I punched out the butterfly I thought the chair could be added. This technique really can showcase almost anything...give it a try.

 

The card base is Very Vanilla, then I layered the Sahara Sand art piece onto a piece of Bermuda Bay. I was going to use Night of Navy but wanted a little contrast. 

The sentiments were inked in Night of Navy and then layered onto Night of Navy scraps. And again I almost put the Bermuda Bay behind that but was happy with the result.

Cottage Greetings for Happy Stampers Blog Hop

 It's Thursday !!! Yah!

 

I am loving all the wonderful creations that our team has been sharing. They are very talented and also most inspiring. I know they give me so many new ideas. 

Here we go for the next sketch.....

 I made a card that I think is "non gender" specific. I know, what a smarty pants. Not sure why I remember that statement but here it is.....

I so love the new Washi Tape, Floral Boutique, and with the sketch we had it really added a different element.

 Here is the full card. The sentiments are from a new set called Cottage Greetings. I really like this set, simple but right to the point. The top part of the card is Soft Sky and the bottom is Night of Navy. I think I am going to try some brighter colours as well. Kinda like the simplicity of the card and the meaning of the greetings!

 And just because I love the new Washi Tape I had to play on the inside too. But still lots of room for your own words for whatever happy occasion this might be for. Here is the inside corner of the card.

Playful Wishes for Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Happy Thursday everyone!! Today we have some fabulous colours to play with. Two are new IN Colors...love all of them.

So here is the palette for today......

I received some goodies over the last week and I have been putting them to good use I think.

The new Detailed Floral Thinlits are amazing! I thought I would go waaayyyyy out of the box so I used the Playful Palette DSP Paper Stack as it has all the colours in the challenge . A perfect match and here it is....

Just a peek as this shows some of the cuts in the thinlit die. So lacy and fun.

The card base was Blushing Bride and then I layered the one cut onto a piece of Very Vanilla and finished off the top with another of the thinlits. 

The sentiment is from the new Dies, Sunshine Wishes. Pretty easy to put together and really adds that pop of Emerald Envy. 

Now because I hate to waste anything, I used the rest of the Very Vanilla and another piece of DSP on the inside.

And then I added the sentiment to the inside as well....It is from the Butterfly Basic Stamp Set. The Emerald Envy Ink is so beautiful.

Floral Affection for Happy Stampers Blog Hop

 Happy Thursday to all....Are you loving the new catalogue! So many great new products and loads of ideas inside. 

 

Here is this weeks sketch....

So for my card today, I have put some of the new In Colours to work and two of the new embossing folders. Floral Affection is a "twosome" and these tiny numbers pack a major punch. I hope you like my share for today.

This little peek shows the embossing quite well. I topped the card with the floral "band" and gave the one edge a little pop also with the other folder of the pair.

 Here is the full view.

Peekaboo Peach is the card base, then I layered with the Dapper Denim. The band down the center has a piece of the wonderful Ruched Ribbon in the Peach colour. I thought I should add some other colour interest so pulled out some other papers and went with Tangerine Tango to layer the Whisper White art piece. The sentiment is from the Crazy about You set. It has a load of sayings for almost any occasion.

This side shot shows up the layering quite well, as well as the pearls that I coloured with  marvelous markers in the Peekaboo Peach and Tangerine. I wanted a subtle shade and these gave the result. 

Tip for you....colour the pearls before placing on the card that way you won't transfer the marker to the card itself. 

And inside,  I added some embossing for a strip on the bottom of the card.

More Hello You

 Hello You!!! 

 

I know , corny right. Oh well, I wanted to share the cards we did at the Monthly Club. I used the same technique as the Thursday Happy Stampers Blog Hop challenge. We had lots of fun. Just changed up the background stamps and the colours and ta da!!  

These cards were very easy to make , I think they would be great to have a few on hand for those times when we need a card. Let me know what you think.

Somewhat of a masculine looking background. I used the suitcase from the Traveler's stamp set. Stamped it in a random pattern and then sponged some Cherry Cobbler and Soft Suede  here and there.

Next we have what I called a happy card......

I so love these thinlits, they really add so much in a simple way. Background by Flower Shop and a few flowers to pop up. I kept it simple but you could add some pearls if you like or even some bling. 

And finally we have another "Thanks".

Watermelon Wonder is such a fun colour. We sure can see how these In Colors go together. Tip Tip Taupe and Mint Macaron stamped with the Work of Art stamp set.

Hello You for Happy Stampers

Oh My !!! It is June, I love the longer days and the beautiful flowers.

Hope all is well in your world. I am truly blessed  to live on this beautiful island. I try never to take it for granted.

We sometimes get stuck on the beautiful DSP we have but today I wanted to show how a stamp set can become your "paper."

 

Then out came the Hello You Thinlits Dies and the rest is history. This card was the inspiration for Stamp Club this month. I have some other cards made but in different colours and backgrounds. Will Share those soon.......away you go check out Mary's blog and remember, have fun.
