Totally Techniques Extra Fun with Thoughtful Branches

Hello folks.  I hope you are having a great summer time. The temperature here has ben smokin', and thoughts of winter are far off...but who knows. Tee Hee !!

 

Today we have a different hop as a few of our colleagues are unavailable, so the four of us wanted to showcase the Thoughtful Branches Bundle that goes "dark" the end of the month. 

 

That right friends, the 31st of August is the cut off for ordering this fabulous set.

So here are a few ideas that may prompt you to the "I have to have it!!" I made a lot of wonderful cards with it  while visiting my good friend Sandi. We made eight different ones in a pretty short time.  My monthly class played with this beautiful bundle and loved it.

This set is so versatile. I looked at the tree and thought it would be great for a winter scene. Then I had to make snow as well.....I know just thinking of cooling off.

I used the sparkly Glimmer Paper Dazzling Diamonds for the trees. This paper really shines, I love the result. 

 

The background DSP is the Serene Scenery Paper Stack and alot of these pages could be a card on their own. Just add a sentiment and there you have it.

Flourishing Phrases for Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Here we go folks... a fabulous colour share for today. Here are the three fun colours.

 I really love these shades together , one offsets the other so well. 

 

I chose the Crumb Cake for the card base then layered in the Old Olive and Bermuda Bay. Out came the fabulous bundle of the Flourishing Phrases and the Framelits. I put a Whisper White piece through the Big Shot in the Fluttering Embossing Folder, and then began the dry fitting. 

I do this often before adhering pieces to make sure I like then design.

You can really see the pretty Fluttering Embossing here.  I used a little sponging on the sentiment piece to highlight it on the white.

The Framelits in this bundle has so many beautiful images, ten pieces in total! I put six of them to use here today.  One is inside!!!

 Can you see it peeking around the edge. This flourish is soooo pretty. I cut a portion of it to place inside with the other part of the sentiment.

This was a fairly fast card to put together, framelits can sure add that pop of dimensions for you.

Festive Season for Happy Stampers Blog Hop

 Here we go folks.....Today we have another fun sketch to play along with.

 

I have a Christmas card for you, I know  really!!!  But I have my wonderful preorder from the Holiday catalogue to tempt you so here is the sketch.....

 I used the Swirly Scribbles Framelits to fashion the circles to the card, and the wonderful new set from the Holiday Catalogue, Festive Season for the other fun images.

The cool looking border is from the Flourishes Thinlits Dies, so pretty.

I over stamped one of the decorations with the star image in the Festive set. The other design inside the  other decoration is from the Festive Stitching Thinlits dies. I am still playing with a new photo editing program. Haven't got all the kinks out yet. But getting close. 

 

 I hope I have inspired the Christmas feel for some of you. I am getting myself in the mode with all the fun things coming up.  

 

Off you go, check out the rest of the talent. We have lost a few of our artists but we here will strive to bring fun and creative ideas for you each week. We will miss all their entries here but I know that they are keeping very busy in blog land and will be checking them out regularly.

Here we go.... a colour share today.

 Now I had really good intentions to use a new photo program but the time crunch hit me...so hope the old GIMP works for today.( Sorry Sandi )  Need to play more and then I will show you a new layout!!

So today we have this fun card that I watercoloured the above colours onto .

The Thoughtful Branches stamp set is fabulous, so if you don't have it you only have til the end of the month to purchase it.  So much to play with and I used only a couple of the images here.

Twenty three pieces in this set...wow!!!!

Playful Palette for Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Hello my friends, I hope you have been having a great summer. I am amazed that we are now into August. 

 

Todays sketch will open up alot of creativity , I am sure. Can't wait to check out all the beautiful cards.

Here we go, I pulled out the Playful Palette Paper stack and flipped through the pages. Here is what I decided on......

This page has lots of colours to pull from. The card base is Pink Pirouette and then I matted  a piece of Sweet Sugarplum to adhere the DSP to.   I even pulled out a little Watermelon Wonder for a flower or two and it even went with the DSP.

 

The Pansy Punch came in handy as well as the Petite Petals Punch. I added some small pieces on the flowers from the Botanical Builders Framelits. I have shared before how versatile these dies are. I wanted some pop so I found a little bit of the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper added the right amount of flash.

Aren't  these flowers pretty...... And then inside we went.

 Just a few on the inside corner and stamped a bit of the flowers from the Cottage Greetings Stamp Set.  I hope you use these sketches for your own creations. It is always nice to have ideas to draw from , I know it sure helps me.
