Welcome to the first Technique post for 2017!!!
We have some new artists on our hop and I am so happy to be back and playing along. I hope you have fun checking out all the wonderful creations on todays technique.."Baby Wipe". Believe it or not but I have never done this technique so was a learning curve for me.
....away we go. I folded two wipes in half and then pulled out the re-inkers. I used Melon Mambo, Tempting Tourquoise and Old Olive. I covered the "baby wipe ink pad" with all these colours and then stamped the image onto the "pad". You can check out lots of Videos online for this technique.
Here is what happened.
This is one of the new sets from the Occasion 2017 Catalogue...dragonflies are very special to me and I know lots of you out there feel the same.
Here is it full on. I used Whisper White for the card base and then layered with Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay. The Tourquoise was a little too light but worked ok for the ink. I will post the measurements at the end of my post along with the links for simple shopping fun.
A few pretty sequins and a bit of ribbon and I went inside to finish up. The layering for the sentiments was a work in progress....there are measurements but stamping it first then layering and cutting works soooo much better. Here is the inside of the card.
I hope you like my creation.....and do give this a try. A bit messy on the fingers but we all love getting "inky" don't we. Tip for you...I used an empty stamp case to contain the Baby Wipe ink pad and it also kept my working area clean. When finished with the wipes just toss then and wipe the case ...easy peasy!!
