Hello my friends.
It's the end of March and today we are showcasing the "Bokeh" technigue. I had a great time with this and I know you would too. There are videos all over to show how to achieve this effect. One day I will surprise you all and have one of my own.....
The first step is to paint a background on a piece of watercolour paper. I chose to use reinkers and paint brushes to apply to the paper.
Spritz the whole piece with water and then add the colours and let them flow. Let this dry well and then onto the Bokeh. I made my own stencil with a cardstock piece of vellum, just punched out different sizes of circles.
With Whisper White craft ink and a sponge dauber, I randomly added the circles. You can overlap and add as many as you want.
This picture shows the white circles pretty good. It's hard to see, but I added some Wink of Stella in tiny circles here and there also.
Some people like to cover the entire piece but I was happy leaving a little of the colours still showing. "TIP" for you... I taped down the paper so it didn't move while I was daubing the circles. This takes a while to dry but you can use the heat tool to speed things along .
The little bit of Melon Mambo was muted well with the Whisper White but still shows through. Then I added a couple of pieces of the Ruched Ribbon and tied them together to make a different effect.
The sentiment is from the So in Love Stamp Set , it is big enough to relay the message but small enough not to take away from the art piece.
Now off to the rest of the hop. I know these ladies will have fabulous things to show you. Have fun.
