Happy Canada 150 to all !!!
I spent the morning watching the festivities in Ottawa, so I thought I should get down to some posting for you as I promised.
This month's class played with Glossy Paper and reinkers. You saw some of that on my last post , on the background. We made two cards, one even a Christmas theme. I know ...what!!!! But remember how fast the days have flown by, time to start building, my friends.
So here is the first one......
We used Bermuda Bay and Pool Party reinkers and dropped ink onto a piece of Glossy Paper. Then we spritzed that with water and let it flow. Moving it around till we were happy we then "sopped " it up with a paper towel. Pretty technical terms right!! Once it dried, and it didn't take too long , we stamped the snowflakes in Whisper White and Smokey Slate. If it takes to long you can use the heat tool to speed up the process.
Each one turned out so different, some darker and it takes the snowflakes differently as well. I matted the art piece onto a piece of Silver paper, and then wrapped the ribbon around before adhering to the Whisper White card.
Here is a closer shot to show the background and snowflakes.
Now here is the second one.....
This card was inked with Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz. Then the leaves were added to the paper once dry in Old Olive and Early Espresso. Love the shadow effect when I stamped off the solid leaf pattern.
I matted the art piece onto a piece of Gold, then wrapped a piece of the new Lemon Lime Twist ribbon and gold thread around both and adhered to a piece of Old Olive. The card base is Sahara Sand.
I is so cool how each one of our cards turned out so different. I should have taken a picture of all of them.
Now I hope you will try this easy technique and should you need any products just click on the links below and away you go.
Have a great weekend and I will be back next week.
Cheers from .....
