Our technique for this month is die cut masking. There are a few tutorials on Split Coast Stampers and I bet there are some talented people out there that have played with this technique.
What I did was cut out leaves using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies and for "paper" I used some post it notes.
Once I had the shapes I placed them onto a piece of Whisper White and sponged around. This leaves a great image that pops in the white. I then took the opposite of the cut out and sponged into it......
Here's a peek of the front of the card.
I love this Bundle from page 147 of the catalogue . Those two pages cover so much information , it was hard to resist. So I didn't. I think you would love it too!!!
I layered the art piece onto a mat of Gold Foil paper and then onto a piece of Old Olive. The card base itself is Pear Pizzazz. Because I wanted to showcase the technique I chose not to put a sentiment on the card front. So I played a bit inside instead.
This was a fun and easy technique and I think this card turned out pretty good. I hope you give it a try.
Now off you go...let's check out the rest of the ladies, I am anxious to see what they created for today. Have fun and thanks for stopping by.....
