Hello and Happy Thursday my friends. Today we have colour to play with and I didn't do a Christmas card!! Wow I know. But here is the palette....

  

 

 

My card is on Very Vanilla and the Basic Black was run through the Petals Burst Embossing Folder. Shows a little on the picture but much better in person.

 

I stamped the leaves in Old Olive on the art piece so I can say I used all the colours!! There is more inside.

 

 

Here is a peek to the inside.....

 

I stamped the sentiment in Old Olive, a few more leaves and some pretty Cherry Cobbler Flowers.

Softly Falling for Happy Inkin Thursday Bog Hop

 

 

 

Happy Thursday my friends , we have a sketch for today and I "stretched" it out. I had a piece of whisper white 7 x 7 so away I went.

Here is the graphic for today. 

 

 

My card  is Whisper White 7 x7, scored at 3-1/2, then Bermuda Bay 3-1/8 x 6-7/8, topped with Pool Party 3 x 6-3/4. 

 

 

The Pool Party was embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder and the top was lined with Year of Cheer Washi tape and the tied with some Silver Thread. 

 

  I then added some snowflakes from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits and the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits. The "Noel" sentiment comes from the Christmas Stockings Thinlits. 

 

Now as I look at the picture I think I should have added some bling to the one top snowflake, seems to be missing something. Oh well, I can do that now ! 

Short post today folks, I have my monthly club this week and still need to finish prep for that.

Musical Season for Happy Inkin Thursday Blog Hop

 

 

 Hello to Thursday my friends.

I have a fun card today using an unusual colour combination. Real Red and Emerald Envy play well together, but who would have thought about adding some Pool Party to the mix. Well here it is....

 

 

 

Once you pull out the paper and start to build , this really becomes festive.  

 

 

 

  I did try a few things with the little drummer boy but decided to keep it simple.

 

 I think the leaves in this set may be mistletoe but hey....creative license , right. I remember a shrub in my yard a few years ago that got the most beautiful berries at this time of year. 

 

 

The "glittery" star up top is from the Glitter Acrylic Shapes, made in the 2016-2018  In Colors.

I used a Marvelous Marker in Real Red to colour the berries and layered the sentiment over the instrument. I had cut out the harp as well but thought things got a little busy.  

 

 

Now inside I kept things pretty simple but left room for that message we all like to send. 

 

 

I call this framing and you can really achieve some beautiful results if you give it a try. Sometimes a little goes a long way.

Lovely as A Tree for Happy Inkin Thursday Blog Hop

  

 

 

Welcome to Thursday my friends.

 

Today we have a sketch to work with and I went outside the Christmas Tree box and brought out one of my favourite stamp sets, Lovely as a Tree.

 

 

White on White and a splash of bling with the fabulous washi tape from the Year of Cheer offering and I was ready for the trees to be stamped. 

 

 

 

 I stamped the trees with Versamark and embossed them in White. Then I used the Wink of Stella gold to bring out the branches of the trees.

I wish the picture showed it better , is quite pretty. 

 

The Year of Cheer washi tape is very festive and adds that blingy touch. 

 

 

I did struggle with the  "space"of white but decided to keep it open and not take away from the other parts of the card. I hope you like my  decision.

Detailed Santa for Happy Inkin Thursday Blog Hop

 

 

Wow...we have a new month to enjoy.   And today's hop is a colour one , so away we go.... 

 

 

These colours are showcased on pages 10 & 11 of the holiday catalogue and I LOVE the whole thing. So today's post was great fun. Here it is.....

 

 

 This wonderful thinlit , Detailed Santa , can sure start the ball rolling. I adhered him to the Basic Black card base and then put in the touches of the Old Olive. 

So dramatic just on it's own, but I added some Wink of Stella over the beard and the swirls. Hard to see, but just a little brings out the shine. 

 

 

The holly and berries are from Hang Your Stocking,  as are the sentiments inside and out.  This went together pretty quick so give it a try.

So love the swirls.....
