Waterfront for Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Boy has it been a week for crazy weather. I am so happy to be warm and dry in my cozy home. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods, I know there has been alot of very cold and windy days, so snuggle in and check out our hop for this Thursday...

Colour is the name of the game and we got to pick one to go with the Black and White....

Here is my quick and easy card for you today.....LOVE the new set "Waterfront" , have been playing with it alot.

Hope you like it too.

So out came the Lemon Lime Twist for my colour choice. I am really hooked on this colour, it coordinates with a ton of other shades.

Once I got this far , I thought I should add a sun or something. But final decision, leave it alone. I found the ..."friends" in the Sale-A-Bration Happy Wishes stamp set. And here's what I stamped inside.

This sentiment is from the Waterfront set, but I masked off the Friends part of the stamp, to continue the words from the front of the card.

Now off to the rest of the hop. I wonder what colours my esteemed colleagues are going to pop in....

Flying Home for Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Hello to all. I hope that you had a great week.

I am so thankful that my friends and family in Hawaii are safe and sound, my sister and I spoke about the recents events and how blessed we are. Another tap on the shoulder ! But enough about that.....

Today we have a sketch to play with, and interpretation is in the eye of the beholder.

Here we go....

... I framed the art piece with Tranquil Tide Ribbon. The stamp set Flying Home is so much fun. I used Marvelous Markers to colour the houses, layered that onto a piece of So Saffron and then onto the card base of Soft Sky.

The sentiments are from Dragonfly Dreams, in keeping with the "flying" theme. Inside we go, again let's keep flying.....

Cute little birds and a tiny bee. A bit of ribbon and we are done.

Painted with Love for Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday my friends.

Today is a colour share and I put to use the fabulous DSP Painted with Love as the focal point of my card. You are going to love this paper. It has wonderful gold foil accents and a unique brushstroke finish.

Here are the colours for our challenge....

This came together very quick and easy as the paper makes the impact.

I used a piece of Powder Pink 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 and scored at 4-1/4 for the card base. Onto that I layered a piece of Basic Black 5-1/4 x 4 and adhered a pretty piece of the Painted with Love Specialty DSP in 5 x 3-3/4.

As I wanted to showcase the beautiful paper, I kept it very simple and cut the Happy Birthday Thinlit in Basic Black.

I know I will use this paper in so many cards coming up this spring. You can see it on the link attached to the catalogue on the right side of my blog, but better still, contact me for your very own catalogue. Nothing better that flipping through pages of new goodies!!

Inside we go.....

Just few rhinestones and the effect was flashy.

Just Add Text for Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I'm Back !!!

I had a wonderful time in Hawaii with my sister and brother-in-law. Thanks to the team for all the wonderful posts while I was gone. Well done everyone.

I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and New Years and are now ready for the beginning of 2018.

Today we have a sketch to play with and here it is....

I pulled out a couple of sets to create my card today. And played with the Stampin' Blends to make a fun and very easy background. I know the sketch shows a circle but I am a rebel after all.

The card base is Lemon Lime Twist and then I layered the Whisper White art piece onto Rich Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay.

I just "scratched" the background with the Blends in Light Razzlebery, Dark Bermuda Bay and Dark Pool Party. Over that I stamped the image from Beautiful You with Memento Tuxedo Black.

These sentiments make a perfect card for that special friend that is just that...gorgeous. And I love the sentiments from Just Add Text, so inside I went.
