A "Flourish of Sunshine" for Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Here we are again!!!

Today we have the sketch to start us off and here it is.

I started with a card in Pink Pirouette and ran this through the embossing folder Seaside. Love the swirls. Then the building began /\.

The first mat is Melon Mambo then Whisper White followed with a circle cut with the Stitched Shapes using the FABULOUS DSP Painted with Love in the occasion catty. You all need this paper. So pretty and gives you so much inspiration.

Now for the leaves I cut some with Vellum using the Flourishes Thinlits and a bit from the Rose Garden. In behind the circle I added a piece of gold, drawing from the dsp hearts.

And of course the sentiment is from Sunshine Wishes......cut in the melon mambo.

.... a tiny little heart over the "i" and we have a fun and pretty card. So let me know what you think.

Swirly Celebrate for Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday to all, and it's SPRING. Time to shake out the cob webs and renew. Love this time of year.

Today we are playing with colours.....and here they are.

I used the Lemon Lime Twist for the card base and placed a mat of the Dapper Denim. For my art front I used some Vellum and stamped images from Swirly Bird in the colours of the day. The tiny circles I stamped in the Basic Gray but they just did not show like I wanted. Sooooo.... I restamped on a piece of scrap and cut them out to pop up with tiny dimensionals on the vellum.

The thinlit "Celebrate" I cut out with some adhesive sheet so I could really stick it down on the vellum. No messy glue trail.

Hint for all....I used my heat tool to make sure the stamped images were dry before adhering to the Dapper Denim. Takes awhile for the ink to dry. And here is the inside with the "YOU" thinlit to finish the sentiment.

You are Amazing for Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Hello my friends and welcome to another Thursday Hop. We have a sketch to start us off and here it is.....

I wanted a bright and spring like card so out came the DSP Painted with Love and Pink Pirouette with a a mat of Melon Mambo. So many colours in this DSP . So in love with it , may have to get another pack before the end of May.

I ran the Melon Mambo through the embossing folder Petal Burst just to add some depth, and used the innie side not the outtie.... I know big words.

You'll see the wonderful thinlet "Amazing" that I backed with a strip of the adhesive sheet before cutting out with the Big Shot. For small details this really works well, no glue smudges !!!

The little sprig was cut with the adhesive backing as well.

And to the inside I added another sentiment .

Sponging on the circles to add the Melon Mambo colour. I love the Glitter Enamel Dots...getting a little low in my stock. Must do something about that.

Petal Passion for Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Cozy Cottage for Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday my friends.

Today we have a sketch to start the process. I love all the banners we have and that we can make them any size to fit our ideas. Here is the sketch....

I took out the fabulous Hostess set Cozy Cottage and started to play. I wanted a warm and welcoming card and I hope you like it.

The card base is Early Espresso and then I layered the art piece onto Old Olive. The banner cried out Cajun Craze, so I added some of that to the cottage. Here is the full on picture.

I think this could really be a masculine card and we always seem to be looking for one of those. But imagine the colours a little softer and we have something for anyone. Give it a try.

And inside , I kept it simple.
