Under the Mistletoe for Happy Inkin Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday everyone.

That week went way to fast. I have so many things to finish up but I think I will just put some ideas in motion for Christmas cards...

Today's sketch helped with that ....here it is....

I pulled out the papers and some colours, then laying them around I decided on the stamp set. First a wonderful piece of the DSP Under the Mistletoe, Call Me Clover card stock,Whisper White card stock, and a mat of Silver Foil.

Here's what happened....

I love this DSP, lots to build from and this one is so pretty it became the focal part of my card.

The sentiments are from the Beautiful Blizzard stamp set in the holiday catalogue. I stamped them in Merry Merlot to stand out.

A tiny bit of silver thread, under a bow made with Pear Pizzazz Shimmer Ribbon. Love this ribbon, ties beautifully.

Now check out the inside....

Just a touch of the DSP and another sentiment and it is done.

Shadow Box Cards

Good morning all!

Surprise, I am posting on a Sunday, I know weird. Let's see how many out there are looking in.

I was cruising through You Tube the other day and a post from Dawn Griffith really caught my eye, Thanks Dawn for an easy and fun way to make a Shadow Box card. Check out her site, great directions. I am probably the only person out there that hasn't made one of these. LOL .:)

So I decided to share with the ladies at my monthly club and I think it was a hit. Then I made another for my daughter's birthday coming up.

So here they are....

The one using the Serene Garden set is very much like the one that Dawn did, then I went from there. Hope you like them.

This one uses an Oval , Dawn used the square but I followed along with her video pretty close.

Then off I went on my own. Used the square made into a rectangle as Dawn does in her video.

Went for a fall feel here, love this set.

Then onto a Christmas theme. You'll notice that each opening is different. Oval, rectangle, then circle. As long as the opening fits , it can work.

Now I made a birthday card for my daughter, Darcey. She loves pink and is a real girly girl. I hope she likes it.

I used the Stampin' Blends to colour the dress and added some Wink of Stella. It is very flashy in person.

Thanks for those of you that stopped in, let me know what you think, and give this technique a try. Lots of fun and endless possibilities. I love that with our CASE attitudes we can do just that. Thanks again Dawn for your creativity.

Stylish Christmas for the Joint Blog Hop with Happy Inkin Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Joint Blog Hop !!

Sorry I missed the last couple of Hops, I was away. Here is where I was.....

My sister lives in Honolulu and I was there for a bit. Happy to say all are safe and I have now experienced a Tsunami alert, 2011 and now a tropical storm. I am now done with those acts of nature.

Sending my thoughts and prayers to those affected by Florence on the east cost.

Now onto the Hop.

I did not have two of these colours so I went with the sketch today, thanks Sandi and team.
