Pretty Pines for Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

 

 Hello to Thursday ! 

 

Today is a colour challenge and I went for it.  I hope you like what I created for you today. Here are the colours.

  

 

I decided to make a few little cards to place in the wonderful new pizza boxes from the Holiday Catalogue.

Here is what happened once I got going.

 

 The cards are 3 x 3 and then I also made the envelopes to place them in. The Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies got a major work out.

I paired them with the Christmas Pines Stamp Set. These were fun to make and so maybe we are going to do some for class this month. 

 

 I made two envelopes in the Lemon Lime Twist and one in Early Espresso, tied together with Burlap ribbon. These fit nicely in the pizza box found on page 44 of the Holiday Catalogue.

 

 

This would make a wonderful thank you gift, change up the sentiments for any occasion.

The boxes are food safe as well, so a cookie or Hmmmm chocolates !

Screen .."the second one".

Hello my friends . As I promised here is the other screen card we made at stamp club. 

We used the same dimensions as the black and cherry cobbler one just switched up the colors to more subtle tones. Whisper white and crisp cantalope for the card and markers of Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, Always Artichoke, and Crisp Cantalope. 

For the top border we used the scallop border punch and the Stamp Set for the collage technique was Butterfly Basics. And this one also can be folded up...you can use a ribbon or a piece of line thread wrapped around. 

Just pop on a few embellishments...buttons, thread or a punched butterfly and you have a great card to share.

More with Indescribable Gift

Hello and welcome. 

 

So.....I said I love to color and we had fun at my last stamp club. 

The inspiration for this card came from my good friend Glenda...she did this technigue at her club as well. 

Now you know where the Wednesday card front came from ... I did a little demo on the blendabilities for my ladies last week and the left over piece was perfect for that card. This technique was great fun, and I think pretty striking once all put together. It's that black and red but I also did a "screen" with crisp cantalope and whisper white. I will post that one next week. 

You can fold this up and place in an envelope for mailing and when opened it is a great suprise for your friends. 

 

Can you guess what I used to make the top border..We have to think outside the box when you don't have all the goodies!! 

I so love all our punches...not just for Valentines baby.

Basic Black.... 11 x 5-1/2, score @ 2-3/4, 5-1/2, and 8-1/4 on the long side.

Whisper White Art Piece...4 x 2/18  times 4 & scrap for sentiment

Mossy Meadow scrap for matting sentiment.

Flower Patch for Stamping and Blogging Sketch #83

 

Hello my friends..... I hope your week has been a good one.

I have been very busy with ideas for Holiday classes and Christmas plans. So here is the sketch share for this week. I used the Photopolymer stamp set Flower Patch from page 156. And of course the bundle savings is the best way to put all the goodies to good use. 

 I used the Thinlits Circle Card to cut the base and then added all the different flowers, designer series paper, and one of the fabulous sentiments and the other from Petite Pairs. 

 Once folded, this card fits well into one of our meduim envelopes. ...then the surprise when the recipient opens it up!!

Grid Fun

Happy Easter to all !!!

I hope you all are having a nice time with family this Easter weekend. I had a special delivery from my bestie Sandi so I have been busy putting my special grid together. It is really spring looking so thought I would share with you today. 

Here it is without the shadow box.......

And a closer inside view.....each square was made by a different "artist" mailed out and then layered and matted. Was great fun to see what everyone came up with. Sandi included me in this fun project with others in her downline.Thanks to everyone for playing! 

Was difficult to get a good picture in the shadow box as the glass is not-reflective......but think it turned out pretty good.

Now don't you think this would make a great present for a very special occasion. You could use any type of theme and color family. Ours was to use the subtle colors and Spring/Summer theme.

My Card in A Box

Ok...I know it's out there but what fun.... Here is my addition to the Card in a Box.

The possibilities are so amazing...just go with what feels fun to you. 

Backyard Basics and DSP are the backbones for the design and then it can actually fit in an envelope that we can make!!! How does it get much better than that. Go have fun.

Flowers!!

Hello my friends.

I have been busy making flowers and I LOVE the new Spiral Flowers Die in the Occasion catalogue (page 32 ). I played for awhile and then the babies all came together ! So pretty.

This is how they begin.......

And then they become blossoms... use your bone folder to open the petals. Use a glue gun to adhere the flowers together. 

 

I used one of our wonderful Kraft Gift Boxes ( Page 160 ) and decorated it with the flowers. You could use this for many occasions...Easter , Birthday, Wedding. You just need to change up some colors and tada!!!.

I had so much fun with this...these flowers are a bit addictive!!! Did you see the inside of a few of them. I used the "left overs" and placed them inside the blossom.

Feeling Punchy???

It seems with all the snow happening around here the first post went out to you before I had it finished so....here is the "real" Feeling Punchy post.Sorry for the confusion!! 

 

Awhile back Stampin' Up! offered a a wonderful kit for making a vase full of stamped and punched flowers using the Flower Shop Bundle from page 95 of the catalogue. Well I must have been asleep or ?? ...as I did not purchase it. But I thought maybe I could try to put something together using that picture as my inpsiration. We sometimes forget the great ideas our catalogues have as we focus solely on the stamp set or paper etc. 

It is a great resource so ....here is the page and the Pansy Punch from page 183. But of course save yourselves a few dollars and purchase the bundle.

And as the creation progresses we have....

 

And the final product.I may keep this at my desk as the daffodils are very $$$ right now. I couldn't find the floral wire so I used pipe cleaners for the stems.

Rainy Day!!!

Hello my friends!

It has been quite "yucky" here the last few days although in the grand scheme we have been very lucky with our weather. I started my own little " saving for a rainy day" jar at the beginning of the year so thought I would decorate it up and make it look pretty! Just a little game I am playing with my mind!! Here it is......

And a look at the top. I made the flower using the Spiral Flower Originals Die from page 32 of the Occasions Catalogue. 

I am having alot of fun making flowers so stay tuned I see another project in the future. Hope the weather doesn't get you down and remember...rainy days are perfect for stamping! :)
