Cherry Cobbler Stylish Christmas for Happy Inkin & Happy Stampers Joint Blog Hop

 

 Hello my friends, today is our Joint Blog Hop.

We have colours to play with as well a sketch, if you so choose.  I so choose !!! And here they both are.....

 

 

 

 

I really love the Stylish Christmas set so I went for it again. Sorry, but I hope you like my card. These colours are right on for the Holiday season and I incorporated them all. The Gray Granite is very subtle but is there, in the swirl and a mat behind the Cherry Cobbler.  

 

 

 I stamped the images on a piece of Very Vanilla , then cut them out to layer onto the Mossy Meadow. Then these three pieces were adhered to the Cherry Cobbler. I place the centre one first , then added the outsides.   

 

This picture shows all the layers.  

 The sentiment is added with a strip of Mossy Meadow placed onto a strip of Cheery Cobbler.

Then I added some pearls to the poinsettia and a few silver ones to the sentiment. 

 

 

Now onto the inside where I stamped the swirl and the leaves but the flower I heat embossed and cut out. Then I popped it up with dimensionals. Hard to see in the picture. I had a plan to overlay the front flowers with embossed ones but they just didn't work well.

Christmas Pines for Happy Inkin Thursday Blog Hop

Hello my friends.

 

We have a colour challenge for today and as I went waaaay out on the "non" Christmas Colours last week , I thought I would do this one very traditional.

 

So here are the colours....

 

  ...and here is my card. 

 

 

 

The card base is the Whisper White, then I used a piece of DSP from Under the Mistletoe to add some depth. Then a mat of the Garden Green , followed by the Poppy Parade.

I had the pine cones resting on the Poppy Parade but then I thought to put a bit of the White in behind with the wonderful medallion from Beautiful Layers Thinlits Dies. 

Took me a while to build but I hope it really looks country. 

 

 

 Here you can see the dimension of the art piece.

 

And of course, I wanted to place more pine cones inside....

 

 

 

 I think I like the inside better but oh well..

 Welcome to the Joint Blog Hop !! 

Sorry I missed the last couple of  Hops, I was away. Here is where I was.....

 

 My sister lives in Honolulu and I was there for a bit. Happy to say all are safe and I have now experienced a Tsunami alert, 2011 and now a tropical storm. I am now done with those acts of nature. 

Sending my thoughts and prayers to those affected by Florence on the east cost.  

 Now onto the Hop.

 

I did not have two  of these colours  so I went with the sketch today, thanks Sandi and team.

 I did a Christmas card in some very !!! untraditional colours. Here we go.

 Stylish Christmas is my new fav from the big catalogue, ( page 101 ) Love the swirl and the poinsettia!

Don't know why the center embellishment looks orange, it is really Grapefruit Grove . You can see the true colour in the other pictures.  

 

 

This ribbon is very beautiful so it gets it's own picture. Oh well Peace is nice also.

Snowflake Sentiments for Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

 

It's Thursday and that means Happy Inkin'.

Today we are back to a sketch and I put together some new products from the 2017 Holiday Catalogue. Contact me to find out how to receive one. 

The Snowflake Sentiment Stamp Set and the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits Dies come in a fabulous bundle and come September 1st you can play with them as well.

 Here is my card for today....

 

 

 

I took one of the thinlits from the Swirly Snowflakes and used it as the  edging on the sketch. Then out came some silver embossing powder for the sentiment and the snowflakes.....

 

The paper behind the sentiment strip is from Color Theory Paper Stack in the big catalogue. LOVE this paper, so much fun to be had with all the colors and different patterns. 

 

The "Swirly's " are from the thinlits dies as well. I have to say that the new Glitter Enamel Dots are fabulous. I had to contain myself as I wanted to put so many on this card because they are so pretty. 

But decided to add a couple of Rhinestones instead.

Floral Phrases Christmas Rose for Happy Stampers Blog Hop

 Hello my friends, I am back. Had a couple of posts off to allow me some time to be with family. Thanks for sticking by. 

 

Todays sketch really was wide open and I wanted to do a Christmas themed card but not the traditional style. Out came the Fancy Frost Speciality Paper from the Holiday Catalogue and a sponge with Soft Sky and the process began.

 

 Here is the sketch for this week.

 

 

Here is a peek...I used the Floral Phrases rose as a focal point.....I call it the Christmas Rose....

 

 

 

 

I pulled out the Mavelous Markers and used a little Cherry Cobbler and Real Red on the flower and Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive on the leaves. I matted the art piece with a piece of Cherry Cobbler and Soft Sky.  Then a fabulous JOY from the Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies.

 

 

 Along the side I placed a piece of Soft Sky and stamped that with the Stars from the Tin of Tags Photopolymer stamp set. The Fancy DSP has stars in it as well and those I painted with the Wink of Stella Clear. Hard to see but it is quite pretty.

Festive Season for Happy Stampers Blog Hop

 Here we go folks.....Today we have another fun sketch to play along with.

 

I have a Christmas card for you, I know  really!!!  But I have my wonderful preorder from the Holiday catalogue to tempt you so here is the sketch.....

  

 

 

And here is a peek of my card....

 

 

 

 I used the Swirly Scribbles Framelits to fashion the circles to the card, and the wonderful new set from the Holiday Catalogue, Festive Season for the other fun images.

 

 

The cool looking border is from the Flourishes Thinlits Dies, so pretty.

I over stamped one of the decorations with the star image in the Festive set. The other design inside the  other decoration is from the Festive Stitching Thinlits dies. I am still playing with a new photo editing program. Haven't got all the kinks out yet. But getting close. 

 

 I hope I have inspired the Christmas feel for some of you. I am getting myself in the mode with all the fun things coming up.

White Christmas Finale

Thanks for stopping in and here is the last installment of the "White" series. This card is just a little smaller and would be a great insert in a gift basket or hostess gift. It is 8-1/2 by 3-1/2 and scored at 4-1/4.

I can see this in so many different colors and tucked in that special goodie basket.

I am really happy with the new embosssing folders. So easy to use and achieves that extra pop in a great way.

More White!!!

Happy Friday to all and hope you are having a good day.

I can't believe here we are in November and how close the Christmas season is. So here is another quick and easy card you could make and give to friends and family.

 

I used one of the new Delicate Design Folders from page 188 on the bottom of the card and then placed the glimmer brads into the design. The snowflake is made from the fancy Glimmer paper on page 160 run through the Big Shot using the new Bigx Die Snow Flurry.

 I punched a piece of Glimmer Paper with a 1-3/8 square  and then punched out the sentiment from the Hostess Set, Priority Post. I used white embossing powder on a piece of Cherry Cobbler...love Stampin' Up! powder, so much better than any other I have used. Not just saying that!!!!! Do your own quality test and I am sure you will agree.

Doesn't it look so festive and "blingy".  My daughters love any kind of bling!!! so that word is part of my vocabulary!

White Christmas

Hello my friends. I hope you had a great weekend and had some time to play with paper and ink.

My next cards are my take on the "White Christmas" theme. These babies were all under 10 minutes to make so maybe one of them will be hitting the mails this season as my cards to my friends and family. In the first card I used something that was hidden away...a Jumbo Wheel, Jolly Jingles. (page 16 ).

 You will notice as well I used the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder (page 189 ) and the new Bigz Die Snow Flurry from the Holiday Catalogue ( page 14). This card was a bit front heavy so I did put another layer inside to keep it upright. I just love the Whisper White wth the Cherry Cobbler. I hope you do too.

"Champagne" Anyone

Ok so it's no the bubbly kind but it is very blingy!!!! The glimmer paper on page 18 of the Holiday Catalogue adds just that touch of class and shine to my final card from my Stamp Club creations. And it doesn't take much to get that festive look. What do you think!!???

 I so love this Glimmer Paper.....all the colors and a little goes a long way. 

 Can you tell I am quite attached to the new Embossing Folder Lacy Brocade. Each one of these cards looks a little different but uses alot of the same products. This sure helps when cutting everything out. From the Framelit Labels to the Embossing Folder and of course  the Scalloped Ribbon Tulle.....just pull it all out and create.
